A village rebuilt

The Moken Village is still being rebuilt. The first few have already been rebuilt, and the village is being built with the same layout as before, but fire prevention measures have been taken, such as having more space between the houses. However, a big issue is that the roofs of the houses are touching each other, meaning that it could become a fire-hazard.
While the village is being rebuilt, the Mu Koh Surin National Park has been feeding the Moken three hot meals a day. Another win for the Moken is that at first, houses were set to extend only three meters, but after negotiation, the houses now extend to five meters.
