Our relation to them?

 

Lena Bumu, a UCR (University College Roosevelt) alumnus graduated in 2011. After her graduation she went on exchange in Honk Kong through the programm she went with she got to meet her future husband and founder of the organization that is responsible for community based tourism in the National Park the Moken reside in. She contacted our Sociology professor, Rolando Vazquez, when the Moken village burned down and they were in need of financial support. The latter, moved us to form a group and look into ways of raising money on the long term. This is an interesting way to build bridges whilst acting with an awareness of our position in the issue.
